Preparing quilt top for quilting or basting...

Proper preparation of a quilt top is very important in order to create a good final product. At Shireenz Stitchez, quilts are always treated with excellent care and to avoid any hassles for anyone, please follow these steps before bringing in a quilt. This will save everyone time and by doing these you will ensure that you end up with a flawless quilt.

1) Bring three separate items; top, batting, and backing.

2) Batting and backing should be squared and three to five inches larger than top on all four sides.

3) Top and backing should be carefully pressed and all loose threads removed.

4) Please remove selvages before piecing the backing and press seams open.
